I discovered this newly abandoned farm on a leisure drive. The house was so recently abandoned that the farmer’s clothes were tossed over the wringer washing machine just as he left it. I have painted the barns, the sheep barn, the outhouse and the shed used as the laundry room. Today the property is a potato field. I have met one of the daughters born and raised in the house.
Locally, it is referred to as Long Dan MacDonald’s Farm.
